The Tamil Nadu Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TNTET) for 2026 has been announced as a special eligibility test for in‑service teachers, following directives (including a Supreme Court order making TET mandatory for government and aided school teachers for classes 1–8).
Tamil Nadu will conduct multiple special TET exams in 2026, including one in July (and others planned in January and December 2026 according to earlier state announcements), to help currently employed teachers comply with the eligibility norms.
